My name is Kait, I am 24 and I am (obviously) vegan. There’s a lot more to me than just being vegan, for example I am a yoga teacher, I have my BA in Psychology, and I am currently in grad school for Health and Wellness Coaching. My dreams are pretty much to save as many animals as possible, spread yoga to as many people as possible, and eat lots of really delicious food.
I struggled with being a vegetarian for a long time, I didn’t have much support from my family and I didn’t have money of my own to buy my own food, not to mention no idea what to even eat. That’s why I’m writing this, I wish the old me would have had access to the information that will be on this page in the months to come.
What I will say to anyone who wants to go vegetarian or vegan and gets push-back from their family, sit them down and talk to them about why-explain why it’s important to you and hopefully they’ll understand and help you along in the process. I never had that conversation until many years later, and it helped my family understand a lot.
